California is home to some of the best, most spectacular water parks in the world. With so many choices, it’s hard to decide which one you should visit, but luckily we’ve done the research and put together this list of the top seven California water parks you need to visit this summer if you want to make the most out of your California vacation this year! You won’t want to miss any of these California water park attractions! Let’s get started with our first entry…

    1) For the thrill seekers

For those seeking a little more adventure than the average California water parks have to offer, we recommend taking a drive up to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Valencia. The park has been around since 1976 and is one of the oldest operating water parks in the country. They are known for their colossal slides such as the Boomerang Bay Speed Slides, where riders can hit speeds up to 40 mph on their way down. And if you need some time away from all that adrenaline-pumping excitement, head over to Oasis Cove where you can spend your day lounging by the pool or enjoy some time at the spa getting a massage or facial.

    2) For the relaxers

If you’re looking for a place to cool off this summer, head to one of these seven water parks in the Golden State. The pools are heated, so don’t worry about getting chilly! The slides provide tons of fun and get your heart pumping too.
Passes can be purchased at each location and vary based on age and the day of the week (although admission is always free for those under 3 years old). Parking is also available but costs between $5-$20 depending on time and season.
California is such an incredible state with all sorts of things to do! There’s never a shortage of adventures here.

    3) For those who love waterslides

In a state with over 130 water parks, it’s hard to know which ones are worth your time. But don’t worry, because we’ve narrowed down the list for you! Whether you’re looking for a place to chill out on a hot summer day or a more thrilling ride, these water parks have everything you need and more. Plus, they’re all within driving distance of each other so you can make a day (or weekend) of it! Read below for our top picks.
Budget-friendly: Splashdown is one of the cheapest options in California that features both a wave pool and two waterslides (one tube slide and one-speed slide). The wave pool is great if you want to surf without having to go out too far into the ocean. On the other hand, the two sides will keep thrill-seekers coming back again and again!

    4) For those who love lazy rivers

If you’re not a thrill seeker, no need to worry. There are plenty of California water parks that cater specifically to those who want more of a laid-back experience. From lazy rivers and wave pools to lazy rivers and wave pools; here are the top seven water parks you need to visit this summer.
    A) Borrego Springs Resort
    B) Raging Waters Los Angeles
    C) Schlitterbahn San Diego
    D) Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

    5) For those who want to see wildlife up close

Kelp beds near the Channel Islands National Park provide a habitat for sea lions, seals, otters, and other marine mammals. To see these animals in their natural environment, kayak through the kelp beds with one of the tour companies that offer this experience. A popular destination is San Nicolas Island, which has one of the largest populations of sea lions in all of Southern California. Many tours depart from Ventura Harbor, just north of Los Angeles, where travelers can combine a trip to the island with visits to nearby Ventura or Santa Barbara.

    6) For families with kids

    1. Knott’s Soak City – Buena Park, CA
    2. Great Wolf Lodge – Garden Grove, CA
    3. Raging Waters – San Dimas, CA
    4. Aquatica – San Diego, CA 5. Hurricane Harbor – Irvine, CA
    5. Wet n’ Wild Palm Springs – Palm Springs, CA
